I think Greg was so disgusted with himself Sunday you'll see a new man at Reading.

I'll bet money you won't see anything close to that .099.

Lines driving has improved and Greg is in a bad driving slump. With many new Pro Stocks coming in next year NHRA needs to increase the size of this field or at least pay out good money to the to first 24 positions. Pro Stock is by far the toughest class and its racing is far superior to that of the Nitro cars.

I'm hoping we'll see ANY RACING I've been watching the weather and AGAIN its iffy :( they are saying scattered showers.. that means 1 sq mile of rain in 100,,, & we know that 1 mile of rain will be right over Maple Grove :( If it ain't raining Fri morning I'm on my way...

I Agree 100% PS is the toughest class to win in.. & NHRA Should give them a better payout...

Line's car is SO fast right now, he can afford to give up a few hundredths on the tree and still win. His lights used to be very erratic, losing quite a few races on holeshots.

I think he's learned his lesson and has the experience to focus.

Next season, I say keep an eye on Jeg and KJ. Kurt will have a handle on that new car by then, especially toward the end of the season when the new goofy point system re-levels the playing field.

latest thing I saw was some rain friday morning, but friday afternoon and saturday look very good. Mid 60's with cloud cover.

Nate says mid 60's and clear. The weather at Somers has nothing to do with the weather at Maple Grove. Don't be such a wimp. Just pack up and go. Wish I was up there. They have great RV parking. That's one of the nicest facilities I've ever raced at.

I'll be racing at either Bradenton or Moroso this weekend. Go ahead and mark down another win for Team Panuzzo. I guarantee it. :)

And don't forget to ask the REAL Don the code word. If I were you I would PM it to him to make sure he has it.

We can all relate to Pro Stock Larry. The race is decided by the driver and the car, not who hazes the tires.

Watch Greg this weekend. I'll guarantee he's learned his lesson. If he can keep his nerves in check, which won't be easy to do he'll be 'the man'.

i'm with you on that one, burnout! i've liked that kid ever since he started driving pro stock. he's relentless on the tree and just an all-around bada$$ behind the wheel, imo. however, i do think jason will probably take it this year, and he's definitely deserving of every point he's racked up, too.

Yeah If I had to put $$ on it I would probally go with Jason or Greg. Espically since line has only been out et'ed once. But he does have 13 losses from being left at the tree, probally half of thoes are daves hole shot wins lol....

Jason sorta has this in the bag. He would have to lose first round, and DC runner up at the remaining races for DC to win it. GA can catch Him, but It's Jason's title to loose.
I think they all better watch Greg Stanfield Next season. I would sure enjoy watching him take thew title.

C'Mon Mitch. You really think Jason has this tied up? No way man. There are 4 races to go. Anything can happen in a drag race. Ask Greg Anderson.

DC has plenty of power. They are not getting it all to the track. Maybe he is losing a little to his driving. You have to do much more than leave on time.

You are right. It could be in the setup. How would you know he's got the horses? More info please.

I know he's usually a couple of MPH short at the top end. I equate that to HP.

C'Mon Lee. He's not the bracket racer, I am. Of course he runs it out the back door. If for no other reason than testing the setup.

I thought maybe you had some other info. Thanks anyway.

Lee, I talked to you with respect. You're the one that posted the rolling eyes (sarcasm) and now this last post.

Get a grip man.

BTW, that 12 sec ride won a title last year, a few races and a fair amount of cash. Heads up racing requires you to go fast. Going fast in brackets gets you nothing.

It's been a real pleasure talking to you.

I sure wish I had your knowledge. I always thought the guy with the best package won a bracket race. So a slow car can't win! ****, I never knew that.

Maybe you should write a book or maybe contact Frank Hawley. I know he would be interested in your theory.

Thanks (anyway)

Not to change the subject but if Jason doesn't shoot himself in the foot, again, He may have it. I am watching for Greg to come on like a steam roller these last few races so if there is mistakes made, look out. Dave C. is a great leaver and I believe he is gaining driving experience more rapid than the average Joe. Maybe after paying his dues another year or two he will get his first championship. I have a feeling that if he stays with it he may have a few!

Not taking sides here.. The fastest I've ever run was 8.03 @ 166 in a D/A Comp Eliminator car about 6 years ago... however I honestly think I've won more $ with my 19.xx sec 1989 Honda Civic racing it in the Import bracket races at E Town....

I've won over $1500 in one day... Then the "powers that be" at E Town made a "NEW RULE" (something like NHRA) they (E Town) made a rule "No Bucks Racers) i.e. Heavy, Super, etc... were allowed to race in any Import Race that paid cash..

So whoever in knocking slow bracket racing should rethink it.. especially if you don't have a sponsor forking out 4 or 5 figure sopnsorships...

He has a lot of experience Dragnut. I agree with you that Dave is going to be a contender. Get him some ponies and next year may be his.

I think if Greg doesn't make a move this weekend he's done for the year. He was bad last week and he knows he's outta time. If he can't fix it this week it's over for him.

I agree Bubba. It would be nice to see the wealth spread but it seems the Summit team has it sewn up. I like both drivers but it would be good to see another team contend. This is starting to remind me of W.J. and Bob Glidden back in the days.

Shucks, I'll take sides. Consistency in driver and car is what wins bracket races. Doesn't matter if the car is slow or fast. Leaving second has it's advantages, you don't have to worry about going red first. But I've won more races with a slower car, against guys who couldn't wait to sit there and give me a 3 second head start (they went red), OR guys who thougth they would fender race me and ended up breaking out.

When a team does well, even Mike Dunn harps on how consistent their car and driver are. That's the only way the crew chiefs can get a handle on how to tune.

I agree with you Crankshaft. Tightest package wins. I don't care if it's a 7 second car or a 20 second car. Cut a good light and run your number.

Consistency is the name of the game be it Pro Stock or brackets.

Bubba made this statement ,so I guess fast bracket cars can't win over the slower ones. Hmmmm, I don't know about Hawley, but I bet Jeg and and Pete Biondo would argue that! Your arguement is stupid. How can you make that statement and argue with mine? Oh, it hasn't been good talking to you.

If he doesn't have it under control this weekend I think the year is over for him. That .099 Sunday had to really shake his confidence. That's probably all he can think about this week.

I've talked to Greg many times and he's one of the nicest guys out there and I would love to see him win the championship.

So bubbles, you and GREG are tight , huh??? Hahahahahahahahha
Maybe you could tune his car to run high 12"s. You are the one who has no clue. You make pronouncements as to who you think will win next year and who will not even qualify. What is your opinion based on? That's right, you're a 12.70 bracket racer! You belittle people by saying "I thought you knew something". I have a hell of a lot more insider info than you could dream about, but I don't name drop to try to look important. You apparently like to "puff" yourself up by doing so. However, little man that you are, we enjoy messing with you. Have a nice day and remember there are many people out here who work behind the "stars" and don't drop names to try to feel important.... What really took me by surprise was that Greg said he hoped they could remain friends while in contention for the championship.

They both seem to be very happy for the other one when he scores a win. I don't see how they could not remain friends.

I don't understand why he said that.
