On Wednesday, Tony Stewart and Clint Boyer will hop in Jeggie's and Super Dave's Pro Stockers.
The cars will be wrapped in Jack Daniels colors.
ESPN will be there filming it.
This should be good for the sport. All of the NASCAR racers live around that area, and might show up. Plus, with ESPN taping it, and ESPN also handling the NASCAR races until the end, this could be a great cross marketing opportunity!

Gary I've been waiting for this to happen. I look for some of Nascar's super stars to run Pro Stock at a event when their schedule allows it. Tony Steward is just the type of guy to try this. I wouldn't be surprised to see Dale Earnhart to jump in a PS since he drives muscle cars on the street. This is great for PS and drag racing.

Philly it is a little hard to believe that Jegs and Connolly would turn over to them the cars that were just in the finals at Maple Grove. Maybe they will just make 1/2 passes. Then again I can't picture Stewart holding back!! I pick Stewart over Boywer with a 6.82 to a 6.81. Stewart on a hole shot!!

You'll either see em both redlight, or sleep.
But I'm pretty sure after a check out pass, either one of these guys would make a nice pass. It will be good exposure, for sure.

Though they are not piloting the space shuttle,I guess they have been testing secretly somewhere,I cant believe that they are just going to hope in a 200mph prostocker for the first time & run 6.80's.I think just launching will be a great test first,I remember last year @ colonial beach dragway a local promod/quick 8 racer went over from automatic trans to a lenco,He never made a decent pass the whole day & over in his pits he was saying that it was just new to him.Now I know these nascars shift alot on the road courses but still the accelleration of a prostocker is a world apart from a nascar,I'm not sure that a nascar would run quicker than 11 or 10 seconds on the 1/4mile,I think they want even hit the shift points right UNLESS they have been practicing somewhere in these prostockers, not to mention that these cars dont have much downforce on the topend.Look @ what happened to a veteran like Captain Chaos, not to mention another bracket racer from MD last year trying to learn to drive his brand new ProStock mustang,He would launch get out of it & launch again,he did this the entire day he was trying to learn how to drive this 5speed transmission ProStocker.I feel unless they been practicing somewhere they are going to look very funny out there, cant see any 6 second passes from these guys.......geeeeez

Like I said yesterday,I didn't think they would hop in a 200mph nhra prostocker & rip off some 6.80's its not like driving a street car, matter of fact they only done burnouts & launches.Furthermore unless they had a proclass license the NHRA was not going to allow these nascar racers to run anyhow But I guess they made an exception just for them to do burnouts & just let the clutch out ( 60ft ).

Kenny Wallace cracks me up. I would loved to have seen his face after doing a burnout. The article described him as "disheveled" -- the guy always seems disheveled.

He was watched when J R Todd fired his car up a Bristol Motor Speedway a while back, and he jumped out of his skin! Too funny!
