So is Ashely going to make her pro debut in TFFC this weekend at Dallas or did that get pushed back?
Forgive me, but I've lost track of what the story is or isn't.

I heard it got pushed back and she may not even run next year.
She was quoted as saying she is still having fun in the a fuel car and thinks another year would make her even better when she moves to the coupe. She still has not made a pass with another car in the next lane or at night, both were things that she thought she needed to do before she started racing.
At the same time she did say she was scheduled to run the a fuel car at 4 of the last 5 events and there was no way she was gonna do both. I dont know who started the story, or if Dad wanted her to get a head start on Showdown points, but if she is not ready then she shouldnt get started.

Not going to happen this weekend at Dallas for sure. She's entered in Alky Dragster and as much as I cant wait for her to join the old man, I think another year in the Alky class would be great. I am still surprised really that they arent dominate there yet, I really figured she would own the class before she was done. I think it would be good if she drove a alky f/c next year.

I know her daddy is a gazillionaire, but did it ever occur to anyone that they don't have the sponser in place yet?

I think the real reason she will not run yet is because they don't have a complete team together for the car yet. And with Force in the championship hunt he needs to focus his efforts...

Personally, I would like to see her run the AFD car another year. I have daughters, too. Just my 2 cents, and entitled to it.

I recently read somewhere that the sponser wasn't going to be a problem as they already have had offers. The issue was they want the sponser to fit the women in drag racing thing. I am looking forward to her starting as she looks pretty good out there to my old eyes. Good to see new drivers moving up. I agree she may not be ready for a year or two.

While I also think she should stay in the Alcohol Dragster another year, if she were to move up I thought the sponsor was already in place, its just that they need to get her a crew.
A couple of news releases from last year on NHRA.com put me under the assumption that she had a long-term contract with Castrol as a sponsor.

I'm pretty sure the deal is with the same sponsors for the afuel car. Castrol and is it Mattel? She has the barbie doll thing going and wouldnt it be cool to finally see another hotwheels funny car out there?
I dont really know what the Castrol deal was. I know it was a youth movement through 2011, so I dont know if that considered two cars or Ashley moving into Johns car. Regardless, either John or Ashley isnt gonna have alot of problems finding support. I still think the Johnforce racing store could handle it themselves if they wanted, but they would rather use other peoples money. The luxury they have is that nobody is gonna take that seat until she is ready. I really dont think John is looking for her to just be another blocker for him to win a title, I just think he wants to get off unlucky 13. But we have seen Enders and Hillary almost rushed into the pro ranks and neither one is really doing good and both are losing on driver mistakes. Let her learn.

I think Hillary is doing a fantastic job considering she only has a few years of experience. I can't imagine how she has managed to get so much accomplished in so little time.
Previous experience in alcohol helps but if you're going to drive FC that's another learning experience. I wouldn't expect anyone to accomplish much in their first year.
I say he should get her in the seat ASAP.
