Well it looks more and more like the NHRA guys are taking a page from the NASCAR book.. make a new paint scheme and sell more collectables....lol... another way to pull more money form the crowd...... but then again.. i would do it too......lol $$$$$$$$$ makes the world go around....
and it is pretty cool looking ..can't wait to see the car completed and wraped....

C'mon, force is the one that started to sell collectables with the paint schemes.
I originally thought it was the true fire effect paint job I was hoping Scott Kalitta was gonna get if Jesse James stuck around, but its more like paint being splashed over the car. Cant wait to see the real car.

I had thought that the whole diecast thing had faded Bigtime! Indy cancelled they're diecast/collectable show this year cause of the lack of vendors.

i think that with gibby not there and with his jj car body in for repairs(big boom at epping did a job on it) that gary's car should win best in show and it should be fast also if the air is there we should see some big no's..:o
I hate to make myself sound like I've got my mind in the gutter but from the illustration perhaps maybe, does it look like there's an image of Daisy Duke bending over on the hood?
Look again

eww, daisy duke with wings? Well I guess its better than with a string hanging out. :p
So far we've spent about 1500 bucks with house of color to get that true fire effect figured out. Practice practice practice. I could imagine how tough it is to figure out a paint job like that, not the effect, but to decide how to show all the great qualities of HOK. You would think there would be more specialty automotive places like that who would use the NHRA as a great advertiser, but we are going the route of monster, revive, slammers and strivectin.

As an car ex-painter, I don't like it one bit, it literally is colors thrown on without much thought.
In my day, paint schemes were about geting a message across, this one does nothing!

Gotta agree....the paint job looks like some extreme-sport x-games skatepunk jackass stupidity.
I don`t like it...hopefully I won`t have to look at it very long on Sunday.
