I've gone back on the Mater site several times this week. It seems to me to be boring as hell.
Is it just me or do others feel that way? I'm not talking about what's posted although that's part of it. Just seems like there isn't any action.

Like a thread about another messageboard?
Bob I don't know if its "Boring" but when you/I/anyone posts over there they better have "proof reader" so as to be sure their post is PC & nothing derogatory is said about the "wrong" person..

I'm new to these posting sites, but it seems to me that the nitromater pages are trying to knock off the NHRA site, but not quite getting there.
The posters are from some kind of drag racing disneyland...a wonderful little world where there's nothing but happy campers and "no one ever gets old and they never die"...and when bad things come up "the lights are on, but no one's home".
Wasn't "nitromater" Scotty Cannon's nick name for his FC?

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....Disneyland or DisneyWorld. I'm imagining if things remain status quo here, there will be a major migration.

Yes. You are correct. That's how the whole thing started......it was a fan site for Scotty.

Sounds like some of you want this place to become another Nitroland? I guess if it's Not talking about how this car owner sucks, or that Driver's a Piece of S**t! Than it's boring as hell!

I'm sure that people posting and replying in a civilized manner and treating each other with respect is quite boring for some people.
There will always be the Nitroland's to go to for the 'action'. ;) Different names, same stuff.

Couldn't have said it anybetter. With all the keyboard bashers gone it is an enjoyable site to comment on. you can still express your opinion, just in a resectful manner

A lot of times there is lull in all the boards, just not much to talk about

Some of you have missed the point I was trying to make. I went on the NHRA site this morning to see what the current news was. I then went to Nitromater and saw several postings of what I had just read. Boring.
We seem to have a more diversified group here and topics I don't see elsewhere.
Being civilized and treating people with respect has nothing to do with it. Hell, I made a post last week and instead of a discussion this guy gives me one of these. I guess it meant he had a different view but never stated it. I would call that disrespectful. Ya know what I mean?

That may be it. Just a lull. We'll see.

The mater has been sterilized, neutered and hermetically sealed for the owners pleasure and protection.
They went the wrong way. Anytime you stifle facts, freedom of speech and suppress truths ... its the WRONG way to go. It will flame out soon and the "powers that be" over there will try to buy up this board and put out another PR fire like they tried to do over there.
I hope not, but thats the way big money operates.

I've only been on there (Nitromater) about 6 months and never had a posting problem so I don't know what you're talking about. I do see several of the guys saying the same thing you are, but I just don't have a clue what you've seen on that site.
We had a guy banned from this site. His post was edited. The problem was he then attacked the moderator instead of trying to have a conversation with him. That's when he was banned. I didn't see anything wrong with his initial post. Point is that you cannot come onto this site and say anything you want to and freedom of speech doesn't apply This is a private members only forum and they set the rules.

Everything's relative. Each person in this country is entitled to what they think is right, wrong, appropriate and inappropriate. I try to take that into consideration when I post and read posts on every forum I visit.

"Think" is the key word in your post Kelly. We just can't always say what we think. Well, on 2nd thought I guess we can but we'll have to be willing to pay the penalty. I have paid the price many times. :D
