Sounds like they didn't stop working on it after all......

I like it I hope they let them run it

Now this one IS a performance gainer. Performance may not have been the intent of the design, but it is one none the less. Until/unless these are avaialble to ALL teams, they should not be allowed by ANYONE.

If someone wants one they should built one....:):)

They haven't even tested it yet, how do you know it will be a performance advantage? Big Daddy had an enclosed cockpit and he didn't have a performance advantage with SR 34.

Since when did drag racing stop allowing "performance advantage"? That is what drag racing is based on...:)

fuelfan 01-09-2012 06:22 PM

I can't tell how it opens or is removed???

DSR should build them & sell them to any team who wants and can afford one if they are okayed by NHRA.

With todays computer simulation programs they know what the "POSSIBLE" advantages are already.. what they have to see now is if the computer matches real world applications... there is always a slight chance real world and sim world dont match...

This is what is missing from drag racing, especially the pro ranks, innovation. Stop with the cookie-cutter classes. Seeing what teams came up with was part of what drew me to drag racing to begin with.

No one stopped the teams from building one of the old shrouds either.
