Big buck or local show

I'm new to this site I have been racing at mostly local tracks in my area. I was wondering. Where do most of you guys race? Do you travel abd hit the bigger payouts or do you mostly run the local Fri Sat night deals?

I race locally around the Houston area. I have been to Mobile Al. for their $5000 to win footbrake race. If Louisiana roads wern't so bad, I would go back more often. I try to make the Thanksgiving race in Edinburg ( the valley in south Texas) every other year or so. I just try to race for a team to make the bracket finals every year, which I have done so for 11 years.
