Default New times

I'm going to get hammered here, but I'm used to it.

It's obvious that today's motorsports marketing folks aren't geared to old time geezer long time racers in their 60s like me. Not even the same sport. Not even close.

I mean, an interview with Caitlyn Jenner to see what he (her) thinks about fuel racing? Are you kidding me?? No disrespect to him (her), but who cares?? And, some other guy who is friends with Anton Brown? Who in the world is that??

I realize that none of us geezers have foreheads and we all walk on our knuckles, but, What happened to the gnarly old racers that built this sport? I'll stick to the Nostalgia stuff.

I don't believe it has anything to do with age demographics Steve.

The disconnect lies with NHRA's television production team.

Maybe, but I can tell you that very few of us old guys can relate at all to any of this stuff. Seriously. It's totally, totally, different.

I mean, they've got limited time, they've got Prudhomme & McEwen running around, and they choose to interview Caitlyn Jenner? Seriously? I'm getting way too old for NHRA drag racing.

Yeah, how dare they interview a trans and a black guy other than Antron Brown or J.R. Todd.

Who cares if they are a trans or a black guy? But, what in the world do they have to do with racing? Is the fact that they like it supposed to impress everyone? And, comparing a stock Camaro to a fuel FC? The whole broadcast needs to be renamed "Drag Racing for Dummies".

To bad you don't have the All Access, you would've seen the pair of fuel altereds they fired off before the finals.
