Congratulations to Erica and Elite Motorsports; hopefully this will silence some of her critics.

Well earned deserved!

Since JR Todd didn't compete the whole season last year, is he able to win the ROTY this year?

If you mean Rookie of the Year it's a little late for that. He won his first Top Fuel race in 2006.

Ah, OK. Thanks. I'm not familiar with how all that works. So Erica actually had her first win last year.

I believe to be eligible for ROTY it must be your first year of competition in a particular pro category that consists of attendance in a minimum of 10 races..? Once you have competed in 10 races, you are no longer eligible in that particular category..?

This award is the magazine's Racer Of The Year award. Not Rookie of the Year.

Enders-Stevens rookie season in Pro Stock was 2005 when Robert Hight won the Road to the Future award, and her first national event win in Pro Stock was the 2012 Route 66 Nationals.

She won it by a bunch too! 48.9% Racer of the Year (next closest was 29.8%) and 66.2% Drag Racer of the Year (next closest was John Force at 14.6%) of FAN VOTES! And she didn't have to cover herself with tattoos, pose nude or act like a thug..... imagine that.
