Drag Racing and Rock-n-Roll have been connected from the beginning....kind of surprised that beyond a few one race sponsorships and personal appearances, there hasn't been greater participation by musicians.

Zeppelin's drummer. Others I can recall that delved into drag racing were Travis Tritt, MC Hammer, and Joan Jett, and of course all the 60s hot rod songs from folks like the Beach Boys and Jan & Dean. For what it's worth, Dean's full name was Dean Ormsby Torrence, so I guess it's no wonder they sang hot rod music.

They're not rock and roll... but didn't the Oak Ridge Boys sponsor someone for a while?
