What's wrong with Gas Monkey and RR? Awesome show. From what I can tell he did a John Force. Made himself wealthy with hard work, little luck and no help from Grandpa Gray.

Where would he be if he didn't find his sucker, Arron Kaufman? Without him and his "supposed best friend" Dennis hooking him up with cash to get it off the ground? Gas Monkey wouldn't have succeeded. Shure he has good marketing skills but without the group to make it happen, he wouldn't be worth a $hit.

Making an assumption on how a person truly is based off only a television persona is pretty lame.

Isn't that the secret to almost any business? Hiring the right people and having friends in the right places? I don't think anybody thought much of John Force until he managed to hire Austin Coil. Look how that turned out. Rawlings comes off as a stereotypical used car salesman on the show, but the team he hired makes some really great cars.

Richard did own Lincoln Press based out of Dallas/Fort Worth before starting Gas Monkey. That business was sold and was generating approximately 2.5 million in annual sales at the time.
