This is going to be interesting to see what people think. I'm guessing its going to end up close to 50/50 split on the live or die.

Done............

If not I don't really care anymore what they do. I don't think they will ever have a legit national Pro Series anymore. Too many other options for racers, sponsors and fans to support.

They're done on any kind of Pro level and as long as NHRA is around they will never get to the sportsman level either. Debbie Downer for REAL here.

Maybe they should have kept their money and sponsor a big money bracket series. They're also losing tracks by the week. Not going to last in its current state.

Rant over

Dunn swung for the fences with the elusive International TF idea. Many have considered it before him, and I doubt he'll be the last. Reality is the cost v ROI.

Work on your strengths, IHRA, and forget trying to compete with NHRA. Be an awesome alternative, not a copy. What are the gaps that are in the NHRA that IHRA could successfully fill and build upon?

Why not create a rules package that allows for 4.70/4.80 TF dragsters that run the full 1/4 mile? It may start slow, but attract a solid following of independent teams in the long run. Re-instate that incredible Pro Mod show that IHRA was famous for. Rebuild the Alcohol FC, Pro Stock and Fuel Harley shows. Jet trucks, wheelstanders, fireworks. It doesn't need to stink of corporate to be successful.
2018 will be too late IMO.

They were trying for that by getting A/Fuel involved in their Top Fuel class. It never took off though. I don't remember the details but I think if you took an NHRA A/Fuel and made the changes that were allowed by the rule book you would be semi competitive without doing any optimizing.

Not the biggest fan of Bader and his boy, but I bet they're happy they bailed on IHRA when they did.
