Glad to see WJ & KJ , kick the kid to the curb finally . Maybe a hole shot here or there he could've helped himself . Oh wait , it was the other way around ? The nerve of this guy ! I guess he learned it's the chassis & the driver .

Know what else lowers the odds of losing on a hole-shot? More power.

I am really not sure where you get your information. Nobody was kicked to the curb. The decision to switch was 100% mine using input from my team. However, Numbers don't lie. Was there a round we lost on a holeshot this year? Yes. Sucks when that happens. (Topeka) Most of our rounds this year, the opponent in the other lane had me covered by 3-4 hun and 1-2mph. If you also look, about half of the races, they were also .00x against me. This does not leave a lot of room to win rounds.

We did make a change in power, and it was a good move. It showed that we picked up to the field with exactly the same car setup. By no means does this mean that KJ and WJ are not working hard at the shop. They have been close personal friends of mine for over 15 years and still are today.

I just wanted to clear it up so that people don't read more into the article than needed. There is no drama and not sure why anyone should start any about it. KJ was very quick to acknowledge and congratulate us on being 8th at Indy. He obviously wants us to win regardless of whose engine is under the hood. Having the reigning World Champ from that camp that also had the car on the pole was not the best of luck for us Monday at Indy. However, we will keep digging and pushing forward.

Matt

Thumbs up

Thanks Matt for responding. Evidently some people feel the need to make clueless comments; thanks again for putting him in his place.

Exactly, Eugene. I the famous words of.....oh what's his name...."why can't we all just get along!"

This guy hates that guy, hates his engines, another guy hates the crew chief, or hates his burnouts or the fact he beat his best friends hero in 1987. And on and on....
