Default Gainesville Tower

Great shots of the new tower at Gainesville. Nice modern structure.

And I'm sure that the sportsman pits are still just that, the pits...

A dust bowl if it is dry and a mud bog if it is wet...

I will be one of the many upset if the pebbly track makes for more problems after they dumped so much money into that tower.

I for one, am gonna miss the old tower at Gainesville. I have some great memories there, I was sitting on the roof of it when Darrell Gwynn won his last national event, I was sitting in the media center eating a choclate chip cookie when KB ran 301.70, like to have choked on the thing.....I am gonna miss that old place!!!

I'll be glad once they get the **** thing open. I'm sick of NHRA hyping the sh*t out of a stupid new building more than they do the show.

Trying to not get too political for this thread but..... I'd be curious to know how much illegal immigrant labor was used to build it.

I dont think there was much illegal labor, it was an erector set and just like toyotas, Americans are qualified to do it. Plus if it was illegal labor it probably would have been finished months ago.

Unhappy NHRA hype

Have you noticed NHRA hypes Executive boxes and towers like we care, but does not improve the surface, bathrooms very often, or cover the bleachers. It is all for the high roller spectator, sponsor for them, we can all cook and buy their $6.00 drinks, along with their overpriced tickets. As to pits, "let the pesants park in the mud where they belong!" I am sure that is their theme!
