In regards to quick exits, several years ago I crewed for a friend who owned a monster truck and every year as part of a USHRA driver's license renewal and whenever a new truck was built the driver would have to prove they could exit the truck within a certain amount of time... I'm thinking is was something like 10 or 15 seconds. I've always wondered if Fuel drivers must do the same in the NHRA. If they don't, they ought to. It might make drivers practice doing quick exits, which they should be doing anyway.

I thought John Force said he had to prove he could exit his car in a certain amount of time when he came back from his crash before the NHRA would clear him to race, but maybe that was because of his injuries.

I kinda remember he just flat out had to prove he could physically do it, I dont think there was a time frame. I think the beginning of 09 they had hinged windows on the sides on ashleys car so she could get out in any circumstance but they kept popping from the turbulence and I think they shelved that idea.
