It's my home track and couldn't agree more about the way they keep the grounds and facility. But there is a mystique to the place, especially at night.

I'm hoping to go to Indy for my first time this year. The main reason being the fact that pretty much every NHRA class will be racing. Besides the "Big 4" pro classes, I also like Top Dragster, Top Sportsman, Comp Eliminator, Pro Mod, and Top Alcohol. Not many other races have all of them.

I'll second that. But I do wish T/D and T/S were contested there. They've become much more entertaining since so many racers finally discovered the advatages of turbo and super charging over nitrous and EFI over carbs.

Just curious as what you think they need to do to the way they keep the grounds and facility ? I have been to all but three of the NHRA national events on their current and past schedule, Indy facility not a problem!

They've needed to pave or at least sweep the east side pits for a couple years. Most of the outlets in the pits arc when you plug stuff in. And this year a couple times the pits flooded and people had to stick broom handles in the drains to clear stuff. Last year couldn't have awards ceremony in new top eleminator club because of sewage issues. I could go on. But when the Nationals roll in they put some lip stick on her and make it seem like a gem.

Well - I like the lip stick or whatever they do.

Family feud caused this to happen. Alex would had to pay off the rest of the family to keep it open. So he leased the track and got a loan to pay off everyone else. In 15 years, he'll own the property. It took me some digging to get this info, but I have a trusted source.

Remember, Etown only got rid of drag racing. They kept motocross, karting, road racing, drifting, swap meets, Tough Mudder, etc etc.

Let that sink in.
