NHRA *might* listen to them, since they are the meal tickets (nitro). But who knows. In 2009 (maybe 2010), NHRA created the Sportsman Advisory Council. A group of racers, one per each of NHRA's seven geographical Divisions, a rep each for Top Alcohol, one for Comp, one for Stock/Super Stock, one for the .90/Super Classes, and one for Top Dragster/Sportsman, to gather information/feedback/concerns/gripes from racers and send it to NHRA. Nothing submitted was ever taken under advisement and two racers resigned within the first six months of the operation, to no surprise, and several others have as well since then (they realized beating their own heads against a wall was actually more productive). Since we are, after all, lowly Sportsman racers. Maybe NHRA will treat this new council differently. But I wouldn't bet any big money on it.

It will be interesting to see if they accomplish what they set out to do.

Pretending I'm a weatherman, I'll just say there's a 10% chance of them accomplishing anything of importance. Talk alone, is not anything of importance, doing is.

Interesting that the new army car has the drivers seat set 2" higher than in his old car, so he can get a better view when the canopy is installed. (according to announcers Page/Dunn) Maybe they think it WILL be ok'd.
