Pulled up for Q2 and did the burnout but it kept going in reverse after going forward a couple times and then shut it off on the line

Pro stock stole the show today in Q4. Bumping and a new #1. TF saw a 67 from Leah, 68 from Shoe, and several low to mid 70s, but it felt slow and way to many aborted runs. FC saw Courtney run a 82, Capps a 84, and J. Force run a 86, but way to many aborted runs. Not sure why as the air temp was never higher than 60 and track temp 105.

Huge crowd today. Gate 3 was full by noon. When Q3 started the stands looked full, a lot of people standing at the fence, and walking the pits.

55 minute track clean up from a TS car in RD1. Terry Haddock is back to putting fluids on the track. A complete track clean up. I think this was his 4th of the season.

Hagen, Hight, Doug all in the bottom half.

Food item of the day: $11 dollar plate of onion rings. The rings were huge and if would be hard to imagine one person finishing it. Imagine a blooming onion at outback, but twice as big. Dad and I agreed that if one could, a massive clean out and heartburn would occur.

.
Pro Stock stole show? What? Did Alan Prusiensky put a Chevy motor in his "kinda Dodge looking" body and qualify in the top half of the field while the Dodge suits fainted?

Yesterday's Pro Stock bump was .141 off the #1 qualifier pace. Twenty years ago the field was consistently separated by .07 or less. Driver's could (and did) win from #16 spot. Now first round is just to see if the first 4 qualifiers can keep something from breaking or going brain-dead red. There's only 3 races in Pro Stock's first round: #8 vs. #9, #7 vs. #10 and this time #6 vs. #11.

Wonder how much tow money or other compensation NHRA or one of the "big dog" highly sponsored Pro Stock teams are paying for the bottom 3 or 4 cars to show up?
