Default Pro Mod '69 Camaro we go- a new journey begins! After missing out on a couple years of fun due to "old timer" health issues, actually got a car in the works (finally!!) and really looking forward to getting it underway~ **~

The body I went with is this bad-to-'da-bone nasty lookin' 69 PM Camaro from Flashpoint Motorsports, and with a heap of input and help from Ted over at Ted's Modeling Marketplace and Scott at Future Attraction (thanks VERY much guys!!)....the parts are arriving! There are just SO many outstanding model builders and seriously detailed parts available these days, I couldn't resist giving this detailed build I have in mind a whirl! The Slixx graphics are from the 2010 season's Lucas Oil car.....and yeah, I know it was a Firebird body, but I say they made a mistake and meant to go Camaro style so I'm gonna fix it for 'em and get it right
They'll thank me later!~**~

I don't have much real 1:1 knowledge on these bad boys, but my builder friends and good 'ol google images have been a terrific resource for getting a better overall understanding of how these Pro Mod ground pounders are put together. This technical drawing of a tube chassis is my reference for the basic construction, and keeping my fingers crossed that it'll look something along this line when it's all said and done!! My thought to get the chassis layout is to do a 3 view (top, side, front) graph drawing of the body, and build the chassis to fit the car. That's the only way I can figure out how to get it right. I'm using 3 rod sizes: .080, .100 and 3/64. Any suggestions or building tips here would be greatly appreciated considering I'm attempting a detailed project far above anything I've tried before!

Thanks very much for taking an interest in this car build, and as it goes along please feel free to offer and comments or suggestions that you don't mind sharing!!
Stay tuned- this is gonna be a FUN one!
