Thumbs down Funny Car Live Oil Downs!!

It's a shame after a great Pro Stock live session to watch the first pair of Funnys have a oil down. Later on in the session another Funny oiled the track. These delays hurt drag racing live sessions. Garlits is right in his strong criticism of these oil downers.

Give it a rest Larry, if a Pro Stock could build enough cylinder pressure they would oil down the track also....

I remember a PS oil down at Rockingham several years ago that was a 2 hour delay for the clean up... they all have them.. Nitro cars just have them more often....

I've seen a few motorcycles do it at some of the MIROCK races too....

you ought to be more pissed about espn not knowing how long it takes to play a football game.
4pm central hits and 4th quarter still had 13 minutes to play which means about 45 minutes late!

Cool No Excuses!!

Please guys no excuses. The funny car oil downs created the TF qualifying to be cut off because they slowed the race down. Don't even go into a rare Pro Stock oil down. Nitro has a big problem with live TV. And they make it bad for the fans who have to sit through the marathon. The Pro Stock bikes and cars put on the best show. The last session of TF was boring. Just telling it like it is.

It's okay Larry, they showed the few remaining runs in the later show. With as many hours of coverage as we have this weekend it wasn't a problem. Let it be.
