Well why not do a Dodge? In a class that typifies the defintion of insanity, keep doing the same thing, Camaro, expecting a different result....
The "maybe" here is that the Dodge may not have been that bad of a race car but just suffered some engine issues under the new rules. Sounds like Laughlin is taking a shot at winning rather than cater to the purists.

The Pro Stock owners say they want FCA and Ford back in Pro Stock. Do you think this will motivate FCA to do so? That was my point.

How about some of the top GM engine builders develop the last Roy Johnson symmetrical port head engine? There are no Ford Pro Stock engine parts available from the approved list. The owners knew this and yet they approved obsolete Ford parts. They won't let a Glidden run a previously approved Ford PS engine. One that won 5 championships in a row. What's to fear about an outdated Boss 429? That is insanity my friend.

It certainly wasn't too bad of a car since Mopar did well prior to the 10500 rule.

There has already been a Mopar powered GM car out there so why not the other way around? Also if you happened to see why they did what they did it is because no other Haas Camaros were readily available and they seem to have trouble with the 2nd half of the track with their current car. Why not give Kramer's old Dodge a try and see how that works out. He might be number 1 qualifier and win the race right off the bat.

Personally I hate Dodge and all things associated with it so I'm sad to see him change away from a GM car. Will not cheer for him.
