Bottom line, if this did not happen, Langdon would be out of the countdown and since Connie could not have both he chose the more experienced driver instead of trying to DNQ McMillen and Palmer and get Langdon in?

Rookie made the top 10 and the countdown stepping down just sounds like something that happens at the Shumacher camp.

What does the Schumacher camp have to do with any of this?

I agree. I don't thinh Troy Jr. ever exprssed an interest in driving a T/F car. This all started with a call into his grandfather's office. But these cars are making 4-5 times the power than when Jeg Sr. drove his car.

Anxious to see what T/A operation the Coughlin's sign a deal with.

How Shumacher has manipulated teams and drivers by switching drivers with teams or the best running cars from his stable went to a different sponsored teams over the past few years.

Troy does well and Langdon is out of the countdown. Langdon is now guaranteed the last spot while Troy Jr gives up the chance to go into the countdown and win the world title.

What if Troy drives someone else's TF car in Indy...

I'm surprised he hasn't put the race car on it's side or hit a guardrail

Connie was faced with a tough situation. Troy in 10th, 8 points ahead of Langdon in 11th. It's looking extremely unlikely that both cars could do well enough at Indy to push Palmer out of the top 10. That would end up with inexperienced Troy in the Countdown, and former Champion Langdon playing blocker for Doug and Troy.
