Default Fire in the Cage

Did anyone else happen to notice how much fire made its way into Tony Schu's cage when his engine let go in qualifying? I thought that the trick shielding around the DSR cages was supposed to prevent this? I realize that nothing is perfect, but looks as though the design could use a bit of tweaking.

You probably remember I never felt that safety had anything to do with that shroud. Seems Tony hasnt won anything with that shroud on either. It was pretty obvious that could stop parts or fire, but once the fire got in there, it has no place to go either. I'm sure they will interview him plenty of times to ask if he can get #9 to see if he was burnt.
