Oh God forbid they allow something else that's been coming stock in new vehicles for the past 15 years! Apparently EFI is as far as their willing to go.

Good idea to try to block the "traction control". Can the rumored safeguard actually perform up against the hacker types?

Why is it a good idea???? If they just allowed it, they wouldn't have to go to such stupid lengths to police it. If everyone has it, no one team has an advantage over the others. They're just making things harder for themseleves. Traction control IS available of production cars. I thought everyone wants the cars to be more like their production versions. Along with the flat hood thing, this is all just getting really absurd.

This^^^^^^

They are so afraid of traction control in Pro Stock yet they have allowed efi in other classes such as Super Gas where one could do all kinds of neat tricks.

NHRA is simply behind the times when it comes to technology.

I don't think they're "afraid" of TC because its been successfully handled in the Pro Mod class for some time now. After thinking about this a bit I think maybe they're not quite sure how EFI in Pro Stock is going to go so maybe they're just keeping the reins tight at first and will probably re-evaluate as the season progresses. Its easier to start racers off without something then to give it and take it away later. LOL Just a thought....

It's 2015 and they are talking about fuel injection.

Still amazes me.
