Yes, we are OK. We have a lot of smoke from a different fire. They are everywhere right now. Vision only about 200 yards this morning. At this time the fires are not coming this way, just a lot of smoke. Letís hope the winds donít change and no lightning from the chance of rain next week.

There are so many fires here they are running out of names to cal them. The Lion fire is the one closest to here and they are not even trying to do anything with it because it is in the national forest and was started by lightning, not man made. Already at 16,000 acres with no end in sight. From there north the icons on the maps overlap each other. At this point it may impact the CHRR this week if something doesnít happen. Even if there are no actual fires going on near Famoso the smoke is so bad and the fires along the way are enough to keep people away. My house is up the mountain about 1/2 mile from the shop which is 1 block from the lake and you cannot even see the mountains, much less the house which we can usually see people on the upstairs deck. I guess the good news is that almost everything around here has pretty much burned already so we have a built in fire break to help. Not funny, but we have to keep it light so we donít go on overload.
