LOL... as long as we don't end up having to hear Swift nonstop on the PA at national events!

At least Pomona will be the last race this year that I have to listen to (HOT Rod Lincoln).

Does anyone else remember the endless stream of "Gila River Casino" ads blaring over the p.a. in Phoenix?

I'm having a hard time believing anyone gets pumped up to race a nitro car by listening to Taylor Swift. Slayer? Sure. Taylor Swift? No.

All kidding aside, any pairing with a non-motorsports partner can only help exposing the NHRA to people who would never have been before.

Wait, so boo hoo boo hoo the sport is dying.

However, let someones face that is arguably the biggest artist in modern music get put on the side of a funny car and it's the end of the ****ed world.

Taylor Swift..........The Stylin', profilin', limousine riding, private jet flying, kiss-stealing, wheelin' n' dealin', top of her game performer.

BTW..... Courtís car looks pretty awsome....... Right up there with Johnís Elvis car. A good thing for everyone involved.

Someone somewhere will find fault with pretty much any sponsor, being offended seems to be something people are striving for.

Didn't Richard Petty's mom pretty much forbid him from accepting sponsorship from any alcohol companies while she was alive?

Personally I would rather see Metallica on the side of the car but every form of motorsports benefits from non-motorsports sponsorship.

Garlits has the same beliefs. He intentionally stayed away from beer and tobacco because of the roll model aspect.

Absolutely agree with you here. Although the record company likely did most of the work making this happen, Swift is a VERY shrewd businessperson. Not to mention she has a GINORMOUS online following. Any where her presence is, so are millions of people who follow her. This deal could've happened with NASCAR or F1 but it didn't. I'd guess she liked the idea of a female driver as well. This is a win/win for the business side of drag racing for sure.
