They've been saying for years that the only thing keeping the bikes from 200 was the right tailwind. Now they finally had it. I'm sure that prominent place in the history books and that $10k will wipe away any tears shed over a worse than average ET on one out of 4 qualifying passes.

The initial run still seems weird.
They have had some unusual clockings this weekend... Maybe NHRA wanted that 200mph more than anyone...

So yesterday I posted that Hector Jr.'s 200 record-setting pass felt "weird" due to being about a tenth behind normal ET/MPH standards. Today, he ran 199.97 & 201 within 0.050 of the number one qualifier. This is something that is very impressive and to those, I offended by stating an opinion about ONE run that seemed weird, I apologize. It wasn't my intention to cheapen the effort or the run - just to point out a fact that just didn't appear correct. I WAS WRONG...there you go.

As someone who was wrong once, very cool.
(OK... don't ask my wife about that wrong once comment. Her laugh can get irritating.)

Why is the P/SM record listed (^) as 199.97 when he ran over 200 and within the 1% required at the same race? Wind maybe?
