1/24 Colorchrome version (1 of 156) for that extra shine.

Remember back when Racing Champions had a nice 1/24, 1/64, and 1/144 section of shelf space in Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Toys-R-Us, KB Toys, grocery and drug stores? That wasn't that long ago. Well, 20 years ago doesn't seem that long ago.

Try to even find a drag racing related diecast car in Wal-Mart today. From quantity to quality, the drag racing world of diecast has gone waaay backwards. I got Hights 339.87 mph FC and was amazed at the lack of quality they have undergone in order to maximize profits. I knew what I was expecting and still was shocked. I had restricted my collection to just the World Champ cars, but even that is now impossible to get due to lack of manufacturing interest, so like you, I gave up.

That's why I am focusing my $$$ on the Milestone 1/16 scale cars. I don't think we'll ever see that kind of attention to detail in our lifetime. I just wish they had made at least 1 Pro Stock and Swamp Rat XXX (but very happy they made the Batmobile). I always wondered if there is a prototype PS out there somewhere. RIP Tom West
