I agree. At the Vegas 2 race this year Jim and Dianne Dunn and myself were on the way to dinner and I made a comment that almost every road in Vegas was under construction.

...What a shame indeed.

Take the idea even further , Put a moving grandstand in the middle , between the 2 separate 2 lane sections .
Start it a little ways down track , and the folks can enjoy the burnouts , and then be accelerated down the track and arrive just after the slowdown .
Charge BIG BUCKS for the ride .
Carrier launch technology can be used for this .

By the time that the interviews are done , they can be back in position for the next Quad runs .

TV rules !!

Bruton's idea of a "ramp" probably wouldn't be an on ramp. I wonder how many times he's been told in private - "No Bruton, we can't build a loopdeeloop".

I certainly hope the grandstands will have a valid NHRA "grandstand chassis" sticker! Or there will be a lot of spectators and the grandstand operator banned for life...or some semblance of life.

Money maker, theres an idea, put a slot machine handle on the timer box and charge some guy 10 grand to pull the lever to watch 50,000 horsepower leave. (yeah, I am sure the estimates will be up to 12,500 soon enough)
