Who pays for the ride to the hospital, the driver or NHRA? Just wondering cause I know what them rides to the hospital cost and they ain't cheap.
JFR had 2 of them last weekend and I'm curious if NHRA picks up the tab... just askin...

"The Participant Accident policy for National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) is an Excess Policy, which means that coverage is not available until all other insurance, self-insurance, or governmental plans available to the participant are exhausted."

This means your insurance is billed first. Most team owners likely pay a membership for an Ambulance/Air Evacuation program. They cost $50-100 a year and help with transport costs not covered by your medical plan. IF your plan even covers ambulatory services, that is.
