Hello everyone, total newb here, I have lurked here for a long time, but joined today so I could reply to this thread.
I started out in the 80's with alcohol cars, got out of it for 30 years and recently started racing with a friend again. Funny thing is 30 years later we are still chasing the same guy..... Manzo.
I never met Frank 30 years ago, but with my new racing buddy have got to know Frank pretty well. I have never been to a race that he was at when he didn't just stroll by and stop and "BS" for awhile.
He is always giving us tuning tips, gives my buddy driving tips, etc.
He truly is a great guy.
I wish him well in WHATEVER he decides to do, but he's the kind of guy that will excel in anything!
Thanks for reading.

Chuck

Welcome, and Thanks for your comments.

In my opinion, Manzo is just a Bad Azz dude.
I would like to be just like him when I grow up...

We did one in August. I don't think much has changed.

My question is what could be asked which hasn't in the past - and would Frank ever gloat about his success....the answer to that part is a resounding NO.

For anyone to be as successful in any class as Manzo has in alcohol, takes talent. As stated many times already in this thread, tuning and driving an alky car is its own challenge, not necessarily easier than any other. For the haters out there that think he would be lost in Nitro, I ask you if you remember a guy by the name of Alan Johnson? He wasn’t even involved in TAD as long as Manzo has in the alky funny ranks, and just look at how he flourished in TF. My guess is that given the $$$ and a short bit of time, Frank would be a championship contender. Would I love to see the fresh face in the FC class, sure...but Frank has nothing to prove to anyone here.

My favorite quote from that article...
Pretty much sums up what some are sayin...
Quote:
“I’ve never seen anyone strive for perfection quite like he does. I wish that I had more of that in me in all of the things I do in my daily life. He takes perfection to the nth degree. He is just one of those guys who is never satisfied.”
