Sucks to learn about this news today, but - that's the way this business works. He's too **** talented, passionate and just F'in cool to be on the sidelines for too long.

does not sound like he is a free agent, he is just off the Langdon car but still in the Kalitta mix.

Not sure how his contract is written compared to Grubby, but if I recall, he left after being offered other positions within the organization. Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing him in a place like the Worsham camp.

That's not going to happen. The only reason Del went back was to be with his dad (family) while it is still possible and the two of them are plenty savvy. They just don't have the resources to throw money at the program like when Del was with Al Anabi or at Kallitta's. You have to remember he tuned Alexis into a top tier player and they were also top tier with the two car team. It is very possible that with the new track conditions the Worshams could be major players again with a little funding.

That comment was mostly wishful thinking on my part, as I like to see the talent pool spread around, however unrealistic. You raise a good point, that Del is a Top Shelf tuner in his own right, so no disrespect to him. I agree, that the new track prep could prove to be an equalizer, at least for a while.

Maybe Del comes back to tune Langdon since they have stopped racing, Tommy going to work for Schumacher, (No wins lately).
