First time I can recall tearing up over the outcome of a drag race. What a feeling that must have been for one of racing's most dedicated and well-liked drivers. Two thumbs up.

I've had the great fortune of meating Clay several times at Royal Purple Raceway. Every year when he is surrounded by fans signing autographs when we walk up he gives my son a high 5 and says "hey big guy, you been taking care of daddy all year?" My son called my tonight and he was jumping off the walls! Screaming at me thru the phone if I watched it. I said I had watched, and he began to tear up. It was a bit of an emotional thing for us both. Congrats to Clay and Grubnic as well!!!!!

Yes sir!! Absolutely had tears rolling. Clay is a great guy and as much as I'm tired of seeing the Schumacher teams win, I thought it was nice of Don to go up and congratulate Clay.
