Default HD PARTNERS....Smart Move?

I bet HDP is so happy that they pulled out of the deal with NHRA.This year has just been so hard for NHRA,the race teams and fans.At first,I wonderd why they pulled out because to me it looked like a good deal. They now look like a bunch of Geniuses!

Default Smart Move.......

In my opinion, it was the institutional investors in HDP that drove the NO vote.
They probably looked at the closest comparable business, NASCAR/ISC, and saw declining attendance and revenues last season.
And it's just gotten worse this season.

I also don't believe that they were entirely prepared for the technical and safety issues that are part and parcel to motorsport in any form. Specifically, the catastrophies at JFR last season may have played a part in their decision to back away.

I'm thinking NHRA was the winner here. These people were outsiders. After the craziness of this season, they'd be trying to sell it off, or liquidate properties.

Sometimes the one you know, no matter what you think of them, is better than the one you don't!
