Smile Charlie Westcott is entered for Norwalk

For everyone who has been questioning the whereabouts of Charlie Westcott; at some point today, or late last night, he entered Norwalk. Considering the proximity of Michigan and Ohio, I was hoping that he would enter; sometimes you do get what you hope for. There are 17 cars on the entry list including David River, Mark Hogan, Val Smeland, and Charlie. At this moment, it certainly appears that 3 of the aforementioned drivers will qualify; hopefully it will be Charlie.

Good to see. I was wondering the other day if he had given up.

Trust me, Charlie is not the type that gives up.

Would really like for someone to show up with a Ford and make the tour. So far, outside of the hype, nothing close since Morgan and Ford parted company.

Any reason given for pulling out of Norwalk? Still not making the amount of horsepower expected?

Haven't heard. IMO switching away from the Mirror head would be a plus.

I understand and appreciate that. But like him finally getting a carbed combination worked out just as NHRA went to EFI, he's likely to finally get an EFI combination worked out just as they pull the plug on the class.... or make super drastic changes like going to boosted small blocks. I mean this as no slam to him at all. Gotta wonder if he's regretting making the time and money investment yet.

I remember when NHRA demanded the changes and Charlie posted pics of his table with a box and a pile of wires. I hope Holley didn't sub to a foreign 3rd party company to write the instructions like we get for most of our household products that we purchase today! lol.
