Guess he and Musi have got no room to complain about parity now.
Was he crying again.
Ricky Smith is a drag racing legend. I would love to have a fraction of his tech knowledge.
"Guess he and Musi have got no room to complain about parity now."
Hold that thought......
Tears again......good grief.
Of course he's going to tale it personally.... but look at Chad Green's performance this year. Yeah he didn't go many rounds but he qualified at the top more than a few times.
He's being penalized for being fast and consistent. Gotta feel like a kick in the teeth. How would we react if we excelled at our employment and instead of being rewarded at review time, we were demoted?
They do this to blower and turbos too. Would smith like it if NHRA never took any blower OD away?
Valid point Hemi, except the part where the blowers have gone faster with less OD (some years back they were at 19%!), are more consistent with less and the turbos have gone faster with everything smaller and less boost. LOL Interestingly, if you look at a few other places where blower OD is allowed all the way up to 29% I don't think there's many if any, running that.
The blower guys may need their own "Rickie". HAha In all seriousness, we are witnessing historic racing. Try to name another heads up racer that is so deadly consistent AND consistently fast? His ability to repeat is unmatched. Love him or hate him, he is entirely in his own class.
