CompetitionPlus Forum Code of Conduct

It looks like this needs to be revisited. Long time members who were here before this forum went on hiatus will remember it. Those that signed up after we came back should review it.

The CompetitionPlus Forum was established to discuss Drag Racing's News of the Day. While we encourage your opinions & ideas, all respectable public gathering places have Rules and a Code of Conduct. We expect every member to follow ours.

Our Rules:

Although the administrators and moderators of Forum will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author, and neither the owners of Forum, nor Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. (developers of vBulletin) will be held responsible for the content of any message.

By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws.

The owners of Forum reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason.

Our Code of Conduct:

Respect is the guiding principle of CompetitionPlus and this Forum. Respect for CompetitionPlus’ Publisher/ Editor Bobby Bennett, your fellow forum members, and the guests that visit here.

The following is not permitted:

Personal attacks.

Discussions of politics or religion.

Use of threats in any form.

Use of profanity.

Flame wars.

Thread hijacking.

Knowingly posting false information, as well as rumors that cannot be attributed to a credible source.

Repetitious posts on the same subject spread throughout the forum.

Off topic posts should be kept to a minimum. Please start a new thread if you wish to change the subject.

Any post with the intent to provoke any of the above actions by another member is also unacceptable.

Also, it is a violation of copyright laws to cut and paste content from media outlets and authors without their express written consent. Referencing information and articles is perfectly acceptable, but should be done by providing a link to the article. CompetitionPlus does reserve the right to exclude linked sources as it sees fit.

Violating any of the above can result in posts/threads being deleted and or locked, and continued abuse will assure it, along with your ability to participate in this Forum.

If you have a disagreement with a decision made by the Forum Staff, do not post it. Instead send a private message to the Administrator and/or Moderator for a private discussion on the matter.

Keep in mind that Bobby set this board up for us, the readers of CompetitionPlus. And give consideration to the fact that this board does reflect on him and his business. We prefer to keep it in a positive light.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
