Motorsports Journalist Robin Miller dies at 71 years of age
This sad news came across my feed last week. Sorry for the delay in posting.
Miller was among those writers (Jon Asher-drag racing, Ed Hinton-NASCAR, Nigel Roebuck-F1, Chris Economaki-Everything) that brought readers trackside, and behind the scenes through their words. And like them, Miller was unafraid to call out those that needed to be called out, including the decision makers and individual racers.
From the above link, this sums Miller's career best...
Much of Miller’s appeal to his many fans could be traced to his willingness to tell things as he saw them, regardless of the cost. He had an authenticity that set him apart from the very beginning, and that quality became increasingly pronounced as the rest of the world began to present ever more edited versions of itself via social media. But equally rare and valuable was his undying enthusiasm for the sport, and for every driver and team who stepped up to the challenge of racing at Indianapolis.
